Heater motor removal L322 MK3 2011 Help a Idiot please

Hi
I started a job that I wished I hadn't but must continue now. I have stripped dashboard, radio, speedo, fan controls, both glove boxes, most the center console as there are two screws that hold the heater controls outer casing in place. trouble being the center console is covering the two screws which will allow me to remove this part.
If anyone has done this job do you have to take the plastic instrument panel reinforcement frame under the actual dashboard?
as im having a lot of problems freeing the middle. both side move. As above i can see 2 screws at the bottom that without taking the centre console out I cant get to them. am I missing something or does the centre console have to go?
one other thing there is a vent that goes behind the instrument cluster that goes to a motor of some type but I can't get the plastic pipe off. I don't want to break it.

any help would be appreciated

Bill

Unfortunately you will have to remove the centre consul to access the surround retaining screws. Thumbs Up

If you download the Workshop Manual from the Wiki, all the instructions are in there.

I have a workshop manual on disk but its useless it doesn't show all the work to be carried out to remove the reinforcing dash panel. I spent hours going through it page by page. I can't find another one on Wiki I did a search nothing came up if you have a link I'd appreciate it.Thanks
Bill

The Wiki button is at the top right, under the Fullfatrr bit.

If you go in and scroll to the bottom, the Workshop Manuals are there to download.

Is that the one you have already? Proper Land Rover one in a series of PDFs… so it should cover it somewhere…. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Yes it is the Land Rover one 5000 pages long but i can't find what i need. I have the one vent that goes from the rear of the speedo to a little fan by your legs took that fan out and got the vent uncoupled. I am sure now that the centre console must come out as there are two plastic pins that go from it straight in the the dashboard reinforcement panel. I have all the top moving but the middle where all the vent pipes are and the bottom are tight as hell. I am trying not to force stuff but im getting so frustrated. trying to get centre console moved now I tried undoing the 4 bolts by the rear blower but that didn't lose anything. I can see a bolt coming from the seat side inwards but that seems to be behind the leather sides of the console. removed all but 2 screws which i cant get to without taking all the back equipment off as tow are impossible to get to the are almost hidden by the pipe going up top the rear vents. unlike the front ones not found how to remove that part either. I have thought of getting it towed to the professionals but I really want to complete what I started. As I am just getting over getting most my lymph nodes removed I haven't had much to do so I just wanted a task. Not sure I should have started this Laughing

I don't now know what to do from here. If i could post pictures i could ask where to go which part contains the motor is it right by the windscreen? I cant see how to get any of it out I saw 2 nuts at the bottom front but they seem to be just rubber bushes. the only part i can see that looks the shape of the fan is right under the harness by the windscreen but I undid 4 screws in front of that and they didnt do a thing. I was told it was held in by 4 bolts from the top going towards the floor but I can't see anything like that.

my car is in the same state as yours nothing left apart from the seats. I couldnt belive the whole center console had to come out which meant the rear blower and rear heater parts as some of the screws holding the side panels on were blocked all over the place.
Is there a reason I can't post photos?

if anyone has a picture of the part I need to take out now the car is ripped apart.

Thanks again

Bill
