Been having a trawl through old threads and I see turbos come up. I was under the impression the v6 only has 1 turbo and the v8 has 2? |

Hi Paul, they never put a TDV6 in the L322, only the sport and disco had the TDV6. They went to TDV8 from the TD6 in late 2006 which was a 3.6 v8 with twin turbo’s.

The tdv8 box is definitely more reliable than the Gm box in the td6. Not completely problem free, but in general is pretty robust, nice fluid and filter change or a bodsyflush will help prolong life 👍🏻 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Did gearbox filter and oil at 76k on mine. Now on 130k so dropped the fluid and did a basic fluid change last week ( didn't have a filter or time to go the whole hog ). Can feel a difference just through changing the fluid. |
