Having towed everything from a small camping trailer to a tri axle iffor williams box trailer maxed at 3.5t with my old disco I’m off to Carfest in the morning pulling a single axle tintent for the first time, I’ve loaded the van to get the correct nose weight, all tyres inflated correctly I’m happy pulling trailers, reversing and parking just wondered if there is anything different to think about 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8

Full tank of fuel if you take it steady the MPG isn’t too bad that being said.

I tow a twin axle van with the RR sometimes, and honestly you could forget it’s there.

Not bothered about the MPG it’s better than the disco so that’s ok and it pulls like it’s not on 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8

TDV8 - towing is a pleasure - just remember you have a caravan on the back it's easy to forget

Nose weight is the biggest factor affecting my twin axle caravan, too heavy and it bobs, too light and it sways (only slightly, but get it perfect and it's bliss). Other than that, I scan my route on google earth on any tight spots/towns etc to look for any potential issues or restrictions. Also recce potential stopping places online in case needed. One thing I would say, keep a eye out for people who feel they MUST be in front of the slow caravan, without considering that the 12/13m car and caravan combination has no problem keeping with traffic and is quite a big overtake.

Had quite a few people run out of room trying to push past, especially when it goes from 2 to 1 lane and they are still level with the caravan because they are the 6th / 7th car trying to get past off a set of lights. Take your time and enjoy the journey. I used to stick to 60 towing with no problems.

Exactly, too easy to forget the trailer, I have been at silly speeds with 2 horses up, although hopefully a caravan will tell you

single axle vans are less stable than a twin, but you should have no problem towing pretty much any van with the 322.

remember its wider than the car, adjust your towing mirrors so you can see properly before setting off, you seem to have thought of most of the rest of the important things. Make sure the lights work on the van, remember to check the windows, fridge, roof lights, and TV aerial are down or shut, the amount of vans I see on he Mway with the aerial still up......

Also remember to switch the fridge to battery setting before you set off, it will only come on if the car is running and connected.

Take it steady, and don't be tempted to belt along at 80, even though it feels like the car could, it can go wrong pretty quickly. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
