I ran a refrigeration unit offshore for 20 years that chilled 100mmscfd of gas producing ngl.

The ONLY time it needed maintenance was breakdowns, there is no routine service required.

What is the manufacturer's service recommendation? Do you have any evidence for the 2 year interval you stated?

Work on hotel size A/C and large fridge plant at sea, the dealers are only trying to make more money. If it works fine, leave it alone !!!!!!
