Hi All

I’m new to the forum as of today. Been dreaming of getting a RR for as long as I’ve been driving, which is over 30 years! Recent months tell me it’s time to take the plunge. I’ve got a budget of about £20 to £25k and am looking at either a TDV8 or if I can stretch, to a SDV8.
Any tips gratefully received. I reckon FSH (not necessarily dealer!) is a must and I think ivory leather looks the business.

Welcome. Prices are reportedly strong at the minute. You should get a nice L405 for that budget.

There are a couple of cars in our For Sale section... might be older than you were looking for. Worth keeping an eye out in there though, or posting a “Wanted” ad.....

Yes, Wurzel is selling an SDV8 that I like the look of but I’m not sure how to contact him/her. I’m a bit too new to be permitted private messaging I think.

Welcome to the madhouse guillaumeducon. I've been looking for the past year for an L322 TDV8/ 5.0 Supercharged or an L405 SDV8. If you want any advice send me a message as I have viewed a lot of cars. Currently prices are exceptionally strong and cars I turned down 8 months ago have come up for sale again at a higher price!

The best thing to do is be patient and don't rush in. Lots and lots of good info on this forum. Do be careful and don't end up in a position where I was being so fastidious I ended up turning cars down for silly reasons. I've put my search on hold for the time being to calm down and really think about what I want while also hoping prices start to settle again.

Good luck with the search, it is good fun hunting. Wurzel's car is lovely by the looks of things. It is also on auto trader so if you can't get hold of him here you should be able to via there.
