I ordered the tool from PowerfulUK to hold the pulley and then had a viscous fan spanner that I’ve had since my P38 days. It took a good whack with a lump hammer to get it to shift. 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather

Well after the daily decided to throw a wobbly this weekend by cooking the alternator, battery and now it's overheating so left that on its own for the time being and decided to carry on with the supercharged. Managed to get the water pump and the belts off today but then the heavens decided to open and flood the road so thought this would be a good time to down tools.

Decided with a bit of help and persuasion from a few members on here that I should purchase the flappy paddle gear selector modification off another member on this site.

Other then that I've just purchased the supercharger oil change kit so I'll get that changed soon as it turns up.







Hopefully I'll get a few early finishes this week and will get this motor up and running this week. Apart from the engine bay work, just need too fit the side bars and getbthe thing taxed. £600 for a year is going to hurt though

Well had an early finish today from work so decided I'd get some of the car done this evening. Managed too get the water pump on and both belts put back on. Have too admit the tensioner is definitely the easiest one I've ever done in the past with a trust 3/8 ratchet.

Didn't realise the fan cowling come in two separate parts. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able too get the viscous fan and the shroud back on tomorrow. Should have the supercharger oil kit delivered tomorrow as well so that's the plan for tomorrow night.







Decided too call it a night here as I've gotta re bleed the 4.4 as that's currently overheating after changing the alternator plus the flying ants are starting too irritate me 😆🤣😂

Managed too refit the viscous fan, cowling and the airbox tonight. Charger oil turned up today so tomorrow's job will be get another battery for the range as the daily done the alternator and the battery so the charger battery is on the daily now but while I'm at it I'll grab the 3/16 hex key required to get to the blower to do the oil.







Anyways time to do a list on costs so far most of which wasn't essential if I'm honest

So at present I'm at sub 3k for a working super charged range rover. Pretty happy with that but soon the big one is due, car tax and a trip too see Mr hinds at Dartford transmission auto Centre to get the box flushed and a check over for anything else that's likely too cause me any trouble.

And what is the latest update with this project? Seems like a proper result... fingers crossed!

I'm following this thread with interest.
I didn't get mine as cheap as yours but I'll be doing a big service soon and think she's due a gearbox flush as well.
Then externally getting the SC back to standard spec. 2005 FFRR SC Java Black with Overfinch Exhaust (UK)
2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey (UK)
2008 D3 HSE Izmir Blue (ZA/Zimbabwe)
1995 D1 300 Tdi (Zimbabwe)

So managed too get the sc up and running today as well as fitting the paddle kit. Done the supercharger oil change but then I realised I made a bit of a mistake. The car is sitting on a slight incline on the drive way so scrapped that idea after I could only get 30ml of oil out.



Car still seems too be running up on the temperature at present though. Seen as it's on an incline I'll leave the cap off n let gravity do its own thing over night.

Feeling a bit excited thought too try the paddle kit soon as its been to have the gearbox done
