One third drop in warranty costs....they're probably just saying no to everything now.

Joking apart, I saw a similar post somewhere else, at the bottom of the article some Anonymous user claiming to be one of the LR grad engineers had left some comments about the company that sounded plausible, like each car needing at least £600 of rectification work and instead of it being handled in house, its sent to the dealers who then charge it back at a higher rate.

Could it be….that with COVID people drove less therefore they didn’t use the warranty as much??? Just saying…..

Sounds as though Thierry Bolloré is getting his priorities right, though must be a worrying time for JLR dealers, still trying to enthusiastically sell current Jaguars when the boss thinks they are not the future. MY21.5 Range Rover Vogue P400e, Carpathian grey

Imagine if they’d offered a 7yr warranty like Hyundai!😀

Or Lexus 10 year warranty 2011 Vogue SE TDV8

I think that a 5 year warranty is well over due to the brands UK customers…

A lot of car companies in America offer lifetime guarantees. Jeep were offering this but have now introduced a 7year/ unlimited mileage Warranty.

Wouldn't be anywhere near as many on the road if they offered that warranty for 10 years. Most of them will all be parked up in the local dealer side streets awaiting approval too be fixed under warranty

You obviously didn’t read the small print written in white ink on white paper that only becomes visible once a year on a clear night with a full moon, it says;

Life is defined as the point where the vehicle Is working correctly, when it stops working correctly this is deemed the end of the vehicle life

Hmmmm that's not going to work well with the new disco built in Slovakia is it?
They have trouble building roads over there let alone vehicles.

A quote from the article in the first post reads -

Sounds like the usual....New head honcho's of big companies always have new projects to shout about. Probably just more JLR public relations B/S. When things don't appear to change, he simply sacks Blenkinsop and says it's not his fault that reliability is poor. Seeing as all the design work for the new FFRR model will have been done prior to Blenkisop's appointment, the guy could be on to a losing streak from day one. Hope not, only time will tell.
