TDV8 EGR replace

Afternoon all I decided to replace my EGR due to being faulty Reduced Performance so I went and bit the bullet and so far it’s taken me 7hours Land Rover say that they can do it in 10hour it’s a right pig 🐷 of a job I wouldn’t attempt it again I haven’t finished it yet as I’m still waiting more parts and gaskets🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

I had got the part from Matlins in Doncaster very nice people to deal with 👍 and will let you all know how I get on

Further update I’m waiting for parts as the water outlet and thermostat housing are both cracked and as luck would have it caught it at the right time. And also rain has stopped play Big Cry

Rebuild unit ready to go on Thumbs Up

No I can’t but what I have seen it could be the valve that’s electric on the side that maybe the culprit I’ll have a look tomorrow as I’m busy watching THE MATCH

Also the DPF filter is saying that it’s full Censored

Almost finished just need to change the oil then fire her up Bow down












Fingers crossed I don’t fancy doing that job again outside 🤣🤣

Well the oil arrive to day drained the old stuff and replaced fresh antifreeze started her up and it threw more codes at me but the old code for the whole job had gone only to be replaced by the following

Still have the reduced performance Big Cry and the wife is losing her cool and I’m loosing my hair Rolling with laughter if anyone has any ideas I’ll be only to greatfull Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Australia 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Bournville

The faults are referring to the sensor located in the left exhaust manifold. Was it disconnected and not reconnected? Its connector is in the vicinity of the rear of the left inlet manifold.

Hi graemes is that looking from the front of the engine I had that off and out when doing the above work. I will check it tomorrow again. Many thanks it does it Bow down
