L405 jack adaptor

I have both a Clarke trolley jack and also a Mercedes Sprinter bottle jack with adaptors for the Discovery3/4.

Can I buy a suitable adaptor for the L405?

A forum search only revealed one L405 thread, which has a link but is no longer working.

Not heard of an adapter for the L405.

If you have deployable steps, the jacking point is on those & quite low - works well with a trolly jack, but I haven't found a bottle jack to fit.

Without the steps the jacking post is higher - but that's about all I know as I have steps....

Does the jacking point protrude ? With deployable steps, there's a bit that hangs down which is the new jamming point as the old one is covered by the step

This works great with a trolley jack with no other pad, but not so good for a bottle as it would need to be quite short but with a really high lift and those seem to be very expensive.

I did get as far as buying a bottle jack topper thing from eBay, but then realised I had no idea how I would attach it

it's 4cm in diameter and at least it was only a fiver so not too much buyers remorse

Yes, the jacking points do protrude (no side steps) but not as prominently as in your photo.

I have both a trolley jack and bottle jack, I'm more keen for an adapter pad for the trolley jack though.

Hi LT, I too am long time disco owner with adapter. On disco3 site I am known as Stick, we have exchanged the odd message over the years. I am looking at getting ffrr (with some sadness). What have you ended up using for an adapter?

i think you just need a standard V adapter for the L405?

its not like the D3/4 with the holes, I used to make and sell the metal adapters for forum members over on the Disco3 sister site MY23 PHEV HSE

There are hockey-puck heavy rubber adapters about 4” diameter on eBay with a slot cut in to fit the rib in the RR deplorable step jacking points.
Mine are a bit chewed, must get a couple more…… “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?
