Parking brake error

I’ve had a look though other threads and struggling to find if anyone else has had the same issue with the epb. When I clear the codes with iid tool the epb can be released no problem with the centre console switch. But when I try to reapply the parking brake it automatically comes up with the parking break fault on the dash. No crunching noises when trying to apply the brake either.

I also had some error codes that might have be connected and causing an issue. Possibly a wheel speed sensor and height sensor? I’m having a look Into the wiring diagrams and will check all the fuses to rule out the obvious. Is there a way to check the wheel sensors and suspension on the iid tool?

Maybe it's the internal temp sensor that has failed...!! Pete

That could be a possibility. Would that allow me to remove the park brake as usual but not apply it? Seems a strange fault to me that resets and doesn’t come back in until you try to apply the brake. I could be overthinking and it’s something that simple Rolling with laughter

I have read on here somewhere about the harness wiring being very stressed tight and chafing, but sorry I have been trying to search the post but can’t find it.
Someone may remember more.
