I have found the problem....the void under the passenger seat (where the amps are) is FULL of water! DAMN IT!!!!

Not sure about the L405, but another source of water ingress could be the air intake for the blower, if similar to an L322, these drains could be blocked and letting water enter the air intake. The water could easily travel under the carpet 'through' any insulation.

The near side metal join between the rubber drain tube and the opening in the sunroof gutter was completely corroded/missing! The off side has been checked and is ok.

All fixed, car now dry but all electronics under the seat will need replacing. No bluetooth, no stereo, no satnav etc
