England 2019 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

I’ve had a 3.6 TDV8 vogue which was fantastic, but not in the same league as my now L405 4.4 SDV8 autobiography. In my opinion the car has got better in every way, handling, faster, fuel consumption and of course the interior. If your budget can stretch I would not hesitate and go L405. I work for a small indie so see them all coming in for sale and repairs. There are a few good L322’s coming through, but a lot suffering with corrosion, so L405 all day for me Very Happy
And BTW go SDV8, best option IMO. Thumbs Up

Kind offer thank you. I have driver an L322 in the past so I have a good idea of just how good they are. I really just trying ascertain how much better the L405 is.

In the end it’s going to come down to budget. I would prefer to buy a 60-70000 mile L322 with good history etc for say £20k than an L405 with same mileage for say £30k.

L322

I liked the idea of a 405. But there was a big price difference at the time.

Pros:

Aluminum, lighter.
More modern looking.
More legroom
Bigger boot.

Downsides:

Pricey
Affordable versions were early version.
I don't like the new heater controls

I searched high and low for the right L322. In the end, I travelled from Manchester to Bristol to buy a very nice, right priced, low miles 2012 4.4tdv8 Westminster with Full LR history (apart from last oil change).

Pros:

Its a nice looking L322, silver with black leather.
Lots of Additional non Standard Westminster items: Blindpost warning, Cameras, rear electric reclining seats, Rear Factory Entertainment system, Rear Dual Climate Control.
Very Clean, immaculate leather and bodywork.
£10k cheaper than a 2013 L405
More or less the same engine and gearbox of a. 405
I can change the heater controls with gloves on. Much prefer the old cockpit.
End of line so most issues should be ironed out.

Cons:

Might date a bit earlier than a 405
Heavier
Thirstier
Less rear legroom
Cannot think of much else?

Maybe I would replace it with a LWB L405 !

TeeMyob,

I like your assessment, sounds like we have the same requirements.

Out of interest what was the mileage when you bought your L322, what is the mileage now and have you incurred any costs?
