I'm another fan of clear rather than privacy glass. But its been a "no cost" option and pre-ticked on the configurator for several years so relatively few clear get specified - takes a positive action to achieve and is presented like its giving up a freebie. Also its clear from those for sale that black on black is the most popular combination. I find a black interior on any colour car too somber and would always prefer something lighter but they're very difficult to find. I was disappointed looking for an SVA that there are literally no light colours available even as an option. Best I could get was the two tone Ivory/Black which is OK but not ideal. We're all different and I suppose those of us different to most will always struggle to find what we want in the used market. Mike - MPx

The spec of yours and mine are similar and if I replace it will also be similar but we are the people that buy them. They ask 27 year olds in a focus group what colours they should do.

Here's my new D300 VSE with no privacy and Ivory interior with Shadow Walnut. I'm an old traditionalist who likes the FFRR like they were, plain and simple (if you could ever describe a FFRR as such!!)

There was a Balmoral Blue FFRR at Solihull waiting to be collected yesterday, that looked really nice except for the ebony seats, it would have looked even nicer with ivory and no Privacy.....just my opinion! I completely agree with you. I was looking around one of the Land Rover main dealers the other day for a car for my Dad. I would say 80% of the vehicles had black wheels and black trim. Certainly not my taste at all. Kev

Dark metallics and light interior every time for me. Not fussed on privacy glass; current car is clear glass but previous has privacy. Black wheels and details, no, just no. |

Completely agree with you: No privacy glass + dark coloured body and light coloured interior is the most classic combination, IMO. Highlights the classy floating roof design element.
