Thank you for the comments on the pics, last time I drove the Mini it was a blast - once it's run in, the owner is going to let me have another go as I am still on his policy for going on Classic car rally's, the type where you have to keep to the speed limits |

Ah yes, fond mini memories. Those grazed knuckles from changing the oil filter. Forever, having to replace the centre bracket of the exhaust, and keeping the rust at bay. Loved my Clubman estate and the subsequent standard car. Great fun to drive, probably more than the modern ones. My JCW scares me in a way my old Minis never did... |

1st 2 cars were minis, had another a few years later, don’t think I’d fit in one now |

My lower back problems started shortly after returning from honeymoon. We were skint so did a driving holiday to a relative’s house in western France. Just a six hour drive from Cherbourg in a Mini City. I’m 6’2”, so basically bent double with feet at an odd angle for all those journeys and eventually my back said ‘no more!’ |
