Tried the hair dryer as I've got a heat gun but it just melts yhe paint work as I found on the rear bumper |

Cut the largest bits off with a scalpel, keep blade horizontal to bodywork. Then use silicone sealant remover, try the remover on paint first where it will not be seen. That and plastic tool, such as from a trim tool kit, as this should not scratch your pride and joy.

Warm the area, nylon fishing line to slice through the silicone. Once removed, screwfix do a half decent silicone remover that doesnt seem to attack paintwork but do test it first or a toffee wheel in a drill used with care.

Cellulose thinners is excellent at removing it with care. 2013 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Cheers all. I'll give some of them a try later this week. I've ordered a toffee wheel and going to stop into halfrauds n get some tar removal etc
