Got this message yesterday and I haven't been able to clear it

We went down to the coast for the day and I'd used the suspension a couple of times - access height and offroad height.

Parked in an underground car park for a couple of hours then when we came back wifey was feeding number one son and I think I clicked the dial round to put the suspension back up to normal height while the ignition was on but the engine not started.

Didn't notice anything there and then but after we'd left the car park the message was up.

Tried switching on and off

Tried full left lock and full right lock

Had a look at the compressor when we got home and it all looks fine

Disconnected the battery for 10 minutes but message remained although compressor whirred away for a few minutes - presumably pressurising the system.

Cleared all fault codes but still no joy.

I'm thinking it might be a sensor or possibly it's registered overheating as the compressor was quite hot when we got home.

Is there anything else worth a try before I pop it in the garage?

My guess is one of your front air struts has a leak. Not bad enough for a hard fault but enough to throw the code. In my experience it leaks when on the highway and access settings and holds air when the bladder is extended in offroad height. It is a common problem from what I am told.

To check for a leak, jack up your rear wheel on one side and then the other. If the front is leaking you will be able to hear it when the front strut is compressed, the cracks in the bladder will leak.

You could try spraying This on the air bag and looking for bubbles when following the previous advice (just don't get your head between the tyre and the wheel arch - might not be the best idea with a potentialy leaking air bag! ). Great stuff. Good for finding punctures too!

Not a leak as far as I can tell but I'm popping in to see AHL on the way home and he's going to pop it on his autologic and do the software update that recalibrates the overheat settings and see what fault codes it throws.

Compressor temperature fault.

Angus updated the software and cleared the fault and so far so good
