Yes it sold. Did you want something similar? Let me know and we can discuss which upgrades you would want on it. barisahan@gmail.com

Not being rude but with the age of these things isn’t it better to put a nice big 10.25 Android with a skin in? If you use ibus app and a resler interface you keep all the functions too and can control the dsp settings? You could do the whole thing for under £300 and have carplay and Android auto too and a much more modern unit? Current stable:

This is for the BM54 amp with stage 2 upgrade. It’s just a sound system upgrade, not screen, so not really comparing apples with apples. I had one in my TD6. You are not gonna get that upgraded sound from a new android head unit. Not unless you add more amps.

But the dsp amp takes a low level input? So surely longs your Android unit has high voltage outputs it would achieve the same? Current stable:

I don’t believe the DSP unit will power on if it doesn’t see the BM54 on the ibus, but I see what you mean. The DSP is an active crossover so needs to be there unless the whole lot is being replaced. Though I’m no expert on the android stuff. I’m sure someone will have written an app to manage the DSP. Things have indeed moved on, but you will need to invest in more than just the android head unit if you want to compete with the stage 2 BM54 sound wise. I’m sure it can be done. The stock speakers aren’t brill, but wake up with the upgraded amp.

I suppose if you are not that into music, an android unit on its own will sound ok. Plenty of folk just do that and are content. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Yes you need a resler interface and the ibus app then it wakes up the amp and can be controlled more so than stock - it sounds great providing you have a half decent dac in the Android unit - far better than the stock that’s for sure, I had it setup in my 02 this way for a bit.

The later hk speaker 05+ are brilliant I have actually ditched the logic 7 amp and run a proper amp and the stock speakers really come alive I was actually quite shocked I had factored in them blowing up and needing replacements. Current stable:
