Tdv8 3.6 inlet manifold

Hi all got an oil leak so with this nice weather thought I would investigate. Loos like it's coming from drivers side (UK car) plastic inlet manifold. I have read loads about these cracking. I've taken metal shield plate off cleaned and degreased and at first nothing then very slowly I sore weepage around Injector clamp bolt holes. So I guess I might get away with new gaskets. Can't see any cracks anyway I could test before I remove?

You can spray some soapy water on it and watch with the engine running for bubbles. Diagnosed mine doing this and was quite easy to see but you couldn't tell it was split once off. The other way would be a smoke test Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

It’ll need to be a high pressure smoke test. When my 2011 4.4 tdv8’s pax inlet manifold went, it was such a hairline crack that a low pressure smoke test didn’t find it.

Btw just so you know it cost £1600 to fix. On the 4.4 it needs the injector harness taking off apparently Shocked Shocked not sure if this applies to yours, but be prepared.

Thanks, just need copper washer number now. I appreciate I could check when there out but wanted to gather all parts first. So far:
Inlet manifold gasket LH LH005897
RH LR005898( OFFSIDE UK DRIVER SIDE)
1423955 DRIBBLE TUBE SET
LR019118 O RINGS DRIBBLE TO INJECTOR (BLUE)
POSSIBLE FORD ALTERNATIVE FOR ABOVE F1673574
Just need copper Injector seating washers now. Main Dealers said can't get them individually for tdv8 have to buy kits. I found good number for 4.4v8 and 2.7 3.0 v6 but not 3.6.

You might want to think about fitting a new manifold while you're at it. It is a big job to remove the manifold and even if yours isn't cracked now there's a very good chance that it will be shortly.

I've been considering and now there are aftermarket options I did consider but then I thought no if I do it I would have to use good quality oem or genuine and the price started to get silly. I think genuine is about £300 a side, Chinese is £60 a side and after market from UK is about 250 a pair. Probably regret but looking for a positive at least I'll know how to do it next time. Lol
