I have a couple of TD6s. One works fine. The other has fuel issues. Both have pressure figures very similar to yours.

The fuel compensation variance you have is common. Both mine have two in near 0 and four in the mid-600s.

As far as I can tell it doesn't indicate a problem, or not one anyone has been able to explain to me.

Probably best to look elsewhere, perhaps describe your symptoms and see what people suggest?

Thank you Mike
A new battery is required as the old one is now 2 years old, this will help with the cranking speed, i will change the fuel filter as well, easy stuff first.
i have done a leak off test 6 months ago, maybe time for another.
Car appears to run & drive fine, i wasn't sure on the fuel comp readings and if this is a major point for poor starting.

One thing that I have found with my TD6 with the known fuel issue is that, whilst it still labours to start, it does start much better now after a new battery and a clean MAF. The MAF wasn't particularly dirty so the improvement could have come from cleaning up the electrical connector as much as cleaning the MAF itself.

So out of interest, what actually are the fuel compensation figures? Is the ECU able to see how much of a 'bang' each ignition stroke of each cylinder produces (how?), and adjusts the injector timings to give even 'bangs'?
