I don’t really look or care about the average to be honest. When it’s needs juice it needs juice. But, today I had to take a look as one of my tank sensors is a little dodgy now. I feel ashamed as despite me pushing mine hard, having hit 7.5K revs several times today alone, and driving in sports mode it is still showing double digits 16.8mpg indicated with no motorway driving. It’s too good for so much power.

Well I certainly didn't buy it to be economical... and it is silly fast for 2.7 tons of 4x4

The usual Range Rover grin turns into a laugh when you plant the right pedal.

The engine sounds like a diesel at tickover but is sublime at the higher revs, sounds wonderful....  Pete

I’ve seen your car Pete and it’s lovely. But, small cars for fast fun, big cars for family and trips. It’s why there’s a shellsuit purple E36 M3 convertible in the garage! For days like today, roof down, all 321 of those straight 6 horses screaming at the sun and giving me somewhere around 12mpg.....average.

Hehehe try ish, but the 5.0SC is the exception to that rule. That engine and suspension does stuff a big old beast like that shouldn’t be able to do. Especially with a decent exhaust to let that soundtrack hear itself it’s wonderful.

My wife’s M2 Competition is also very nice, but a bit underpowered with just 410 horses 🤣 It would be nice if the 5.0SC had the DCT gearbox

NMJ... Lol... I can't afford a Sunday car so this has to do it all, it spends most of it's time full of building gear or with a roofrack piled high...

It's a jack of all trades.... but definitely not a sports car....

Just spend hours sanding and painting the bottom trim for the climate panel in Piano black to match the rest.... Well, actually I bought one from this thread https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic59205.html and I have to say the quality is excellent, it is not easy to get a mirror finish on anything but Dale has nailed these...

Not a brilliant picture but it's hard to photograph black..!!

I bought a new load protector for mine yesterday...

I was getting fed up with 2 hours of cleaning the fatty after carrying a bag of sand or similar, and as for poking a 3mtr length of copper pipe from back to front missing all the leather, well, not good for the heart.....

I can take the roof rails off now and it will look much better.....

Oh and new load protector is only £30 a year tax and 60+ mpg, and talking of bags of sand, that's what it cost....!

That looks cracking for that price Pete. Ideal if you have space to park it.
