Not quite 100% positive, but when looking for bits for my steering wheel, it looked like the same wheel will fit cars from 2002 to around 2010 / 2011.

The wheel you tend to buy is just the leather rim with spokes and the hub. It’s bare, so you transfer your wiring pretty much. I put a later wheel on to my 2003 car when I had it, and had to keep the original module so the connector fitted. I think it had a bit of wiring with it, thinking on.

Just make sure it's actually the steering wheel heating element that's at fault before you replace it. Mine wasn't working and I recently fixed it by replacing the relay which provides power to it. |

Hi all! Thanks for your help! Been in the car today en checked the heating element: when straight connected to an external battery no heat at all. Double checked with an ammeter: no resistance whatsoever. Beside that the heating element (when sort of working long ago...) heated over on some spots and did barely nothing on others. So it was on the way out then I guess

You can check the resistance of the heating element with a multimeter, powerful UK have a video on YouTube on how to.

Hello Kezbo, very informing video! Didn't check the thermister but did check the resistance on the heating element and that was definitely dead So a new steering wheel is due. When your spare is okay and willing to sell, than please PM me. |
