2019 Vogue Apple Car play not working

Just bought a 2019 Vogue and the Apple car play will not work.

I have tried 4 cables, genuine Apple cables, 3 different iPhones, and an old iPhone 7 just to make sure.

An android iPad.

Resetting the Bluetooth.

Still no go. The system says Connection failed. Disconnect the USB and try again.

No joy. Anyone have any ideas ?

BG259, have you checked whether an update is available? Settings/ Connectivity/ update.? You should have SOTA so you can download an update if there is one available. Also check another device with the USB, it could be the port at fault. Failing that, then I'd give the dealer a call. All LR cars from 1984

I have tried 3 different phones and an android phone.

I have tried the USB under the armrest. The 2 next to each other.

Might need to call the dealer.

Chalky I noticed on your signature you have ordered a D300 mheV. I was going to buy that car. Was getting a great deal. Decided on a 19plate as I was being impatient !

Yes, I bought that engine because it is a step up from the last 3.0l in my 2018 car. I found the 3.0l was perfect for all that I need to do, no towing etc.

I was going to wait until the new model comes out later this year (?) but because of the software problems I had with the facelift car I thought I’d wait a couple of years for the teething problems to get sorted!! The software only got sorted when they installed a new 2020 unit in the car so if I were you I’d get the dealer onto your problem straightaway! All LR cars from 1984

What problems were you experiencing Chalky?

That’s also the reason I didn’t get the D300. Thought I would order a new L460 early next year.

All sorts of problems from blank screens, no sat Nav, no radio, no ACP just a nightmare.

I got onto LR HQ and made a stink and eventually because the dealers couldn’t sort it, it was decided to put a completely new system in which was a 2020 edition. Since then it hasn’t missed a beat. Your car is still well in warranty so I’d go back to your dealer and get them to sort it out for you. All the dealers know there are known problems, it could be just an update. All LR cars from 1984

My left steering wheel button seems to act slowly/not match what I’m pressing sometimes. The rest seems to work. When I plugged in my daughters android iPad. It came up on her Amazon fire, very low charging or words to that effect.
Not sure if there is a usb problem.

Might be USB and I had the same slow left hand menu button too. I’d definitely call your dealer and let them deal with it👍 All LR cars from 1984

My local dealer has booked a “triage” appointment by phone next week. Not sure what they can fix on the phone?!?

They'll be taking advice from their people in Solihull. That's what they did with mine and how I ended up getting a new unit installed. All LR cars from 1984

Chalky will let you know the outcome once they have diagnosed.

Did you go for a black pack Westminster? What options did you specify on the car?

Hope all turns out ok which I'm sure it will!

I've bought a D300 SE in Carpathian (had BRG before but damned if I'm going to spend another £5k just for colour again!!)with Pixel lights, Ivory leather, no Privacy, Shadow walnut finishers, HUD, mudflaps and rubber mats and the rest is standard spec for the SE. I thought about an Autobiography this time, but I don't use all the bits on an SE so because the Auto doesn't have HUD as standard I thought the SE was perfectly good for what I need. Being a Shootin'/Fishin' man it has all I need for going off road too.

I also have from my last car, a Hatchbag bootliner and a Boot Buggy poly clear dog guard which are brilliant and I would highly recommend, plus a K9 dog box for when the dog is in the car.
