Just had the call from the garage to say mine are goosed and given them the go ahead to do it. Don't have a cost but will check back with them and see what they think. Not a LR garage btw

Mine are on the MOT advisories from last year, I have read that they can be changed on the car with a bush removal/fit tool for a BMW X5 - does anyone know if this is true??? |

Yes the X5 subframe Bush Tool kit works as that's what I used on mine, e.g. Sealey VSE5585. The advantage of the bush tool kit is you don't have to drop the subframe a massive amount from the body to extract or install the bushes. The subframe can be dropped using the damper lower attachment bolts in place of the subframe bolts as they are longer, with 2 bolts in opposing corners and the remaining removed it allows enough drop to use the tool. If you don't want to remove the damper bolts they are part number RYP000110/RYP000111. It's the way it's done in the workshop manual and makes it pretty easy: https://workshop-manuals.com/landrover/l32..._subframe/ |
