Replaced the oil cooler at the wk end, did the gaskets 2 weeks ago but then found oil in the coolant ARGH! No messin, just replaced it, Advanced Factors were a great price and I’ve always been pleased with their service. So far seems ok, 40 mile blast today, a spirited drive 😎. All good, no leaks, no oil smell when stopping at junctions, no more oil in coolant. HOORAY

So so Happy.

Rainkin, love your style 14 wheels, I have the same and will need a new set of Pirelli’s later this year too. Anything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough (and have deep pockets|)

Thanks @Treebor99 Smile

They'd been refurbed once before I got the car, but they were badly tarnished and had a bit of kerb rash on one of the spokes from an ENORMOUS granite kerb I had interfaced with whilst avoiding an artic on a B road....

Didn't bother with the diamond cut finish on the raised bit of the spoke either... didn't see the point of it on a silver wheel to be fair...

Got the tyres from National Tyre online, fitted at my house... was over £100 cheaper than Black Circles, and the local Independent.

Went to remove the front wipers to see if just a set of refills would do the job.

It was not to be the passenger side clips just fell to bits, the blade could have fallen off at any time. The drivers side plastic was all jammed up and the blade was falling to bits.

So have ordered a set of HQ Aeros. Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006

Went to get my body work assessed by the detailer who did an amazing job on my wife’s BMW M2 Competition. Perhaps a bit overkill for such an old car but hey ho, it will look nice with a paint correction detail followed by a several ceramic coats for ease of cleaning. I’m also getting my callipers and hub repainted to make them tie in nicely. Keeping it nice and stealth black as there are too many diesels with these red callipers about 🤣

Just returned from a 374 mile trip, complete with cattle trailer, had to fill up at 260 miles, not much motorway. total trip 16.1 mpg, ah well. Never been more comfortable after such a run. Cool

In a sunny interval between snow and rain I took the opportunity to change the OSR door lock. I absolutely hate removing interior trim and door cards but having done the other side last year, at least I knew what I was in for... Laughing

Got it’s MOT sorted, annoyingly they failed it, adjusted headlights and passed it. FFS. Why not just adjust the headlights and pass it. Muppets.

Driveway heavy maintenance

Bumper wiring to swap over once I sort the headlight out then new bumper on

I’m still looking for a headlight btw Laughing

The lower panel on wing doesn’t just pull off, it has an 8mm screw bolt

Getting mud flap off took the longest lol

The new bumper to wing bracket didn’t fit the replacement wing - but did after removing a locating pin with grinder Very Happy (also the wing part numbers were different)

Swapping parking sensor brackets next
