My 2008 TDV8 has all the origional air springs,pump, resivoir etc., which all work perfectly (at the moment). I am giving the whole car a light overhaul and I am contemplating the suspension....
Has anyone got any first-hand experience of converting a 2008 L322 to coil springs?

A) How does it affect the ride and handling?

B) Does it affect you insurance?

C) Is it really worth it?

Besides deserving to be lynched for even suggesting it converting to coils is going to ruin your car. Add in the headaches you will undoubtedly get with the electrics and the PFO from your insurers and the DVLA (most likely).

Agreed. A Range Rover that isn’t on air? That doesn’t have an uneven stance. How dare you!!!

But hey if you wants coils then get them, but be aware that you’ve just reduced whatever value is left of your car to basically scrap metal value. And that your car is now modified so yes you will have to tell the insurance.

I wouldn’t unless I’m preparing it for some very specific off-road challenge. Besides the parts aren’t that dear (as you won’t have the adaptive version anyway). So the cost saving versus food quality non air suspension isn’t there in my opinion.

Aerosus appear to offer reasonable prices and a 2 year warranty, do you have any other suppliers you could recommend?

I've recently replaced an air spring on mine with Aerosus parts. Spot on and couldn't recommend it enough.
Seemed to be as good quality as the original part I took off the car. Came with all the parts I needed and was an easy install.

Paid £96 for Aerosus so I could justify paying the £150+ VAT for OEM gear from Island 4x4. I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will disagree but that's just my take on it. 2011 RR Vogue 4.4 TDV8

The L322 was not type approved for use without air suspension, so you will have a few hoops to jump through if you do it.

I have driven one with coils, I would happily pay twice the cost of the air suspension to keep it after that drive... it was awful in just about every way a suspension system could be...  Pete
