United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

**UPDATE**

So car was due back last Tuesday. Martin said on email car will be done by Tuesday. I took as pinch of salt as we have heard this before.

So Tuesday passed. I called on thursday. Sean said car was on a test drive. So should be done Friday or Monday. I asked if they were open saturday to afford them some flexibility. Told no closed weekends. Martin could be there if needed.

So earlier I decided I will contact citizens advice get some legal or consumer advice. She suggested 2 options. I wont bore you but option 2 would be my preference as while I cant prove if any work was done I cant assume it was not. Basicslly pay and then claim but under a protest payment. This is so not my style as I repsect peoples technical graft and knowledge but also I respect communication and the customer.

So I call Sean and he goes to talk to Martin. Comes back and said Martin isnt happy with it (that is respectful) and he wants to try something else. I will get a call tomorrow to say its ready come and collect it and to pay or get a call to say its ready come and collect it nothing to pay.

So am now even more confused. I can see to orrow will come and tomorrow will pass.

I might just suggest them to buy it off me for parts or whatever they want and get them to pay me. I dont even feel like an owner to be honest. Current Cars

This is my point. Its changed the story has changed. Its like chinese whipspers and when it goes from martin to sean it gets lost in translation then comes to me as a completely different story ha. Honestly you wait till I find the guy who recommended them to me 😂😂😂😂 Current Cars

So if we look back at the back story I am wondering. When we or should I say I doubted the information I am thinking what was the truth and what was a lie. I mean I didnt believe in any of it but by putting it out there to you guys I wanted to have a different persoective. You all made valid points and I trusted the information from the garage but looking at the back story.....which bits were true? Current Cars

"Try" something else.....Do you know what he's not happy with? I thought it was as others have said, waiting for a tensioner. I know JLR parts are really difficult to get hold of at the moment, could he have "borrowed" a part from another car and then found its not fixed the issue so is waiting for a new part to arrive?

This is like War and Peace, it must be soul destroying for you.

For me soon as the communication started failing would be when I'd be on my guard. If they kept you upto date even by sending you a few photos of progress would be helpful but I'd hazard a guess it wasn't even on the ramp for the 3 weeks they claim it too be

I said to sean. What part what isnt right. He just says I dont know. Im like dude you just spoke to him ha. I think this is where the failure comes apparent. If i email Martin if he replies he will have more info and details but surely know your customers and cars and then when customer rings to say what is wrong the guy on front desk should be able to articulate to a customer the issues. Not just he isnt happy with it. Im glad he isnt happy with it but what is it he isnt happy with. Current Cars

If it was me, I'd get it transported to somewhere with a good reputation like Green Oval. I know your current bunch of clowns came from recommendation but they're transmission people I believe. Green Oval as their name suggests are Land Rover specialists.
The only connection have with Green Oval is that as a customer, a very, very satisfied customer, their knowledge and experience is second to none.
Disclaimer, I cant guarantee your satisfaction with Green Oval, use at your own risk. BMW i3 Electric Car
