Has anyone figured out what the budget means for L322 owners in terms of road tax / VED?

I just read the following: "James Andrews, finance expert at comparison site Money.co.uk, said: "People with petrol and diesel cars will see vehicle excise duty rise to £155 a year, while the tax on premium cars – i.e. those costing more than £40,000 new – now pay an eye-watering £335 a year for the first five years of ownership."

Ah, the poor little things.

Pretty sure I am paying around £600 a year. I try not to look too closely, but despite that I am curious to know what next year holds for us.

It looks as though we just have to wait and see

It’s all to do with registration date. Most of the fannying about applies to new cars, older cars, pre 31st March 2017 are on g/km rates. eg going forwards my 16MY 4.4 sdv8 is 219g/km and will cost £340 up from £330 this year.

A 3.6 TDV8 will cost £600 as it emits 299g/km
A 4.4 will cost £585 as it emits 253g/km.
