Reduced performance

Good evening all I have the dreaded reduced performance back on the full fat and again I’m looking for advice I have cleared the codes they go away for a couple of days then returns I have taken a snap shot of the faults that I think are responsible.
Thanks in advance

I have had issues with the U0415 codes on other vehicles (BMW/VW & Audi); 9 times out of ten it was to do with wiring or connectors for the ABS/speed sensors, or the sensor its self. In two cases the plate in the wheel bearing that the ABS sensor reads was at fault - new bearing/hub assembly required.
Bad or intermittent signals from these sensors can have an indirect effect on a number of other systems in the car. From experience this has included faults on: Engine, traction control, instrument pack, cruise control module, gearbox, airbags etc., if you can think of a system that may use wheel speed, even indirectly in its control methods it has the potential to show issues.

It is possible but unusual to have the ABS module at fault.

Another area to look at is earth connections - in the connectors and body grounding points, especially if the car has seen alot of weathering and damp conditions leading to corrosion and poor grounding.

Start with the cheapest and easiest items to check first if you are unable to trace the fault in more detail by reading individual sensor outputs/inputs with the software you are using.

Good luck.

these look like typical codes that come up from time to time but don't look like restricted performance codes.

how's your battery?

Your IID shows 14.7v with the engine running, what's your voltage with engine off?

. Cheers, Greg

I'd go with Greg.

But what's the engine fault code and is it a yellow or red RP fault. Cheers

I'll stand to be corrected, but a red can come up if the DPF is blocked and it says vsit dealer, power is reduced and it's a slow acceleration to about 50ish. ISTR it may raise its head if you have a leak on the air inlet sides.

A yellow that I've had has no real reduction in pulling power, but was a water in fuel fault, P2264-00 28

You're welcome S.

As Sleepy Jen says, have a look at the earths on the car and connectors to the control units/sensors.

If I think of anything else I'll post up. Keep us all in the loop as to what you keep finding. Cheers

Ok I had a play with the abs loom and the restricted light went out, only to come back on later. I seem to get 10 miles out of her before she throws her teddy bear 🧸 out of the pram. I have to say before I bought her I had the forsite to getting an IID unit which is already paying for its self.

Sounds as if you are on the way. As we have the same model I'll follow this with interest. I'm bound to get the same fault sooner or later. Rolling Eyes Cheers
