Max Air Con button not working?

Hi,

Air con system works fine and blows cold on normal settings but the ‘Max Air’ button doesn’t work (also not lit up if it’s supposed to be) - anyone any ideas? Fuse maybe? (If so, which one please!)

Cheers,

Fish.

Not sure if this will help, as I don't know which model you have, if it's an L322, it doesn't sound like a fuse problem as the whole system works through a PCB buried inside the climate control panel unit, so sounds like a switch failure or a problem with the PCB. Used climate control panel units look like costing from £35 at the cheapest, it's quite a simple job to exchange units if you are handy with the tools.
The climate control unit, controls/switches/PCB are all in one interchangeable block, just disconnect the 5 sets of connectors / wiring, after partially pulling out unit.
Hope someone else has a more definitive answer for you soon. Good luck. Thumbs Up

Rob

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the reply! Yes, sorry - it’s a 2003 TD6 HSE model.

So it’s best to try a new panel? I’ll pick up one from eBay / breaker and have a go. Was hoping it was simply a fuse etc but sounds an easy enough swap.

Ha! It got up into the + figures yesterday and there was this weird yellow ball thing in the sky for a few minutes!

Many thanks again,

Fish.

Hi Fish
I forgot to add the link to a video for removing the climate control panel. It's one of the many videos from powerful UK.

When you get another unit it may be a good idea to air blow the little cooling fan built into the unit, prior to fitting as dust / dirt can build up there over time. I think the fan is there to suck air into the temp sensor for the unit.

Hope you see more of that yellow ball thingy Whistle

Rob
