That's because they are not listed where they usually list fuel filters on their system...

It's LR043154

the job is done, no leaks
after soaking the fuel pipe connectors and blowing them with compressed air for several days my son managed to pull them off the pump fittings
the plan was to lift the pump up just enough to get the old seal out and put the new seal in and put it back together.
i lifted the pump up but i couldn't feel the seal
i lifted the pump up further and found the seal inside the tank, down around the pump
it had never had a seal since the last technician had the pump out.
its now all together no leaks.
having seen the fittings off and been able to see how they work, i am thinking of making a tool to remove them.
i looked on YouTube and squeezing them or using plyers is not on, for me.
not saying it hasn't worked RR 2005 4.4 petrol

There are loads of videos on YT about this, I've been watching a few as I think my pump might need replacing. By far, this is the best, the guy explains it well, has great footage and even shows inside the tank how it all fits together. Worth a watch if you're trying this job

That one is the diesel, the petrol is totally different, the pump is half that size and lives inside the tank about a foot forward from the access hole, the access hole is where the filter resides, the pump has a remote pickup and level in the other side of the tank and is joined to the pump with wiring and fuel hose... Thumbs Up Pete

Take it you didn't actually watch the video then Laughing

Clearly a petrol 2004 4.4L and he most definitley shows the remote pickup on the other side, made a huge point of it in fact. 09 RR Westminster 3.6TDV8 - Stornoway Grey / Black interior - now gone (sad face)

yes that is the same as mine but the important part for me is getting the pipes disconnected which is not very clear.
he seems to be prying it off with a little screwdriver, which worked RR 2005 4.4 petrol

In that video, that engine is not the same as my 2003/4 4.4 M62. I've replaced the alternator on mine and it sits inside the timing case and is water cooled. I have no idea what engine is in that one. Ron B. VK2OTC

on mine it was nothing to do with the sender itself but the connector, we cut the connector out on both sides and soldered / sealed the wires together and hey presto working fuel gauge. that was from an article on here i got that tip. total cost of the repair was time and a few pence on connectors. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - Current
