Hi,
battling to remove radiator shroud & think I’m on the last bolt but it’s hidden behind this, circled below.
Looks to be part of intercooler system.
Any ideas what it is & can I safely remove the hoses without getting covered in oil, coolant etc & remove it?
I think I’m safe but just wanted confirmation.

It’s generally referred to as the CSOV, being the change over valve for the turbos.
Replacement procedure is covered in a maintenance bulletin which is in the wiki.
A full description of its purpose and workings is given in the engine section of the WM.

I can’t see a bulletin & can’t download the workshop manual onto my iPad unfortunately.
Found another picture of it with your description & looks like it’s just charger pipes so as thought.

I have got the W.M. downloaded onto my iPad mini 4 and it works fine.
I downloaded the “Zip Viewer” free download from the App Store and used that.
