New battery flat - charged 25 hours, instant flat

Hi all,
I replaced the battery a couple of weeks back for a 90ah Varta Blue. Alternator is charging the battery as confirmed by RAC.

After using the auxiliary heater, doing lots of short runs, I found yesterday I had a flat battery. I unlocked the car, got in, put the key in and turned it just clicked and went into dead mode instantly upon putting the key in the ignition and turning.

I left the car on CTEK MSX 5.0 for 25 hours. The charger showed the charge process complete and successful this morning.

I turned the key this morning and exactly the same thing happened, completely dead car. No locks, nothing.

Duff battery ?

What kind of drain in the car could drain the entire 25 hours of charge if the battery is OK? This doesn't seem very likely to me.

After an hour on the phone to ECP, I just went out to remove the battery, and also to put a mutimeter on it. Guess what Stan? As soon as the MM probe touched the +ve terminal I got a spark of life in the car. I then realised, you guess it correctly the +ve connector had come lose. A quick tighten and all is good.

Thanks Stan, you are a star.
