Would be good to know what constitutes a large amount? Anyone could be prescribed it, but how much would that take? She was only a slip of a thing!

Oh and a terrifying amount of damage to that 322! Shocked

And why the hell do they need to go back to the manufacturers to interrogate an airbag ECU? Surely that should be a straight forward OBD2 protocol... The Police should have access shouldn't they?

Not as soon as you do anything more than the generic spec which is very old now.

What amazed me the most was it took the police 2 years to realise the lady in the other crash had a massive amount of Tramadol in her blood!

Yes, that was a bit rubbish!

Quite interesting to see them taking the airbag module to JLR for them to do a "black box" investigation.

...and how quickly and easily they provided the answer in comparison to the Japanese manufacturer.

I don’t deny that she did wrong, but I was surprised at the harshness of the sentence. It was a slightly hollow “victory”, considering how desperately short of ICU nurses we would turn out to be.

I think the heavy sentence was most likely due to her continuing to plead her innocence and not change her plea. Courts tend to look badly on that, as a sign you're not accepting your guilt and sentence accordingly. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

That’s a fair point, she should have come clean. It’ll make me think more carefully about prescription drugs.

I used to do F2 stock car racing many moons ago and these cars were made to take a crash, the damage sustained in some races was eye watering at half the speed this guy was doing inn the L322, suspensions ripped out and engine coming out the front. I cant begin to comprehend what the impact must be like at over 100MPH hitting a tree. Very sad.

It was repeat as I remember watching this last year (or was it 2019?).

The state of the L322 was horrendous. The forces must have been insanely high for such a well built vehicle to sustain that amount damage.

I remember what I was most amazed by on that programme was how the police were able to send the ECUs off to the vehicle manufacturers to capture the last known driver inputs. Very interesting indeed! Kev
