Poor-man’s equivalent to IID

Hi, just wondering if there’s a really cheap way of getting diagnostics and live values for non-engine ECUs in a similar way to IID Tool yet. Just evaluating rejoining the L322 community and want to give a potential vehicle a thorough check first. 2007MY TDV8

Can’t justify the spend on an IID until I own one again!!!

Thanks __

I used an Icarsoft i920 to help me find my L322, the bonus is that it is very cheap and works on any other car.

despite owning an iidtool it is still my goto choice as its quicker to use and more reliable. Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged 2006

I have an IIDTool permanently connected and use it for live values all the time.

However I just had a play with an iCarsoft LR v2.0. For £136 it's good value for money and very user friendly.
Also will work with multiple FFRR and Jags so it will hold resale value well. That would be my recommendation for a budget diagnostic tool.

I think I'd prefer to pay a specialist than AA for an inspection really without any offence meant to the AA inspectors...

However, I am pretty aufait with these having owned one before and swapped an engine plus major other jobs. Just need the diagnostics so I can check a few things that I know are notorious!

thanks all, will check out the icarsoft tool. __

As far as the iCarsoft goes do we have any preference between the LR V2.0 or the LR11 diag tool, of which there is around a £10 difference in price?!? Neutral
