I’ve ordered the mechatronics sleeve, the bridge adapter and the 4 rubber tubes as well so will give it all a good going over.

We change them on every gearbox service we do as it only takes an extra 15 mins or so 👍

Thanks Craig.

There's a huge amount of YouTube video's showing the workings of the 6HP26 as well. Those seals and solenoids seem to be a common issue and are well covered.

The ignition coils and belts arrived today so just need to wait for the bearings and I can start reassembly

Have removed the chrome door handles and chrome side tubes today too. Whilst it was in the air on the ramp I had a good look underneath it. It seems to be a nice solid car underneath which is always nice to see!

I removed the chrome door handles today and found the reason they were stuck on in the first place...

Someone has had an attempt at colour coding the door handles in the past and it hasn’t gone well. The paint was the wrong colour and the finish was awful. Thankfully, they don’t appear to have done an awful lot of prep work either as scraping them with a plastic scraper and screwdriver seems to have removed most of it.

I’ll try and tidy them up at a later date when the weather has warmed up but they’ll do for now. I don’t want the stick on covers and don’t think they’ll suit being all black on a black car so will look for some Brunel (I think it’s Brunel) paint for them.

My coils and belts arrived today via DPD which is odd with it being a Sunday, hopefully the bearings will also arrive quickly.

OI!!! I designed those Powerfuluk stick on handle covers as the pre 09 cars couldn't accept paint due to the wax content in the plastic...

Are they a nice fit, Craig? I’ve seen some handle covers that are a horrible fit and are very obviously covers.

The chrome ones I’ve just removed are a perfect example of that!

All of the parts I've ordered have started arriving.

The supercharger oil and engine oil have arrived from Smith & Allen, the coils and belts have arrived from Brit-Car, the bearings have arrived from Bearing King, gearbox solenoids have arrived from Sussex Autos, and I've got a care package being sent from Rob at Duckworths which should hopefully arrive tomorrow or Thursday.

Looks like it's going to be a fun weekend putting everything back together!

Can you please update how the car feels now after you replaced all coils?Which brand did you choose?
I have a shakey cold idle on my 4.4 ajv8, and few coils on mine are still original after 150.000 miles, so I assume that maybe new coils could solve that. RR HSE 4.4 2006 LPG
