BCU can be swapped without coding. do a search on here. there is lots of info on this. Is one of your rear doors refusing to unlock as well? that's another sign of BCU probs. |

BCU (aka BCM and Body Control Unit) sounds like your most likely cause.

Thank you both you taking the time to reply. Both back doors are working at the moment. I might get another BCM off ebay & try, if it works I can get it coded later, is there anything to be aware of when purchasing another BCU?

It might be worth doing some of the simpler tests before buying a BCM - unless you've got access to a very cheap second hand version.

The servotronic valve is on the steering column / drivers side of the steering rack - visible just through the wheel arch, easier with the height set to off-road or better still with the wheel & tyre off. Paul,

Might wanna take it too the garage if your going to do the servotronic valve. See somewhere online apparently if you round the bolt or snap it off its a new steering rack jobbie |
