LR used to register their vehicles using Birmingham registrations. They then went Norwich way and now use Oxfordshire registrations. Obviously changed DVLA offices. It could just be an Oxfordshire vehicle though!

They also use Worcestershire ones for engineering vehicles that might have been used for special testing or development ideas too. "YYS" G4 FFRR

United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Aintree Green

My L322 was OV10 OTE and that was a first registered to Land Rover fleet at Gaydon according to the manual. Most are then sold as nearly new through LRAU at dealers. These cars are often loaned out to partner organisations or celebrities. Same with Jags. I’d guess yours came from the fleet sometime in 2012 and then into private ownership.

Reason they use Oxford is probably because the nearest DVLA local office to Gaydon is Banbury. Testing is done at Eastnor, so development hacks would be registered at DVLA Worcester, the nearest office. Of course it’s all done on line now, but the registration will be based on the address for the applicant, so either Gaydon or Eastnor.
