Easy - you never look too old to be driving a Range Rover......

No way a Rapide, yuk one of the ugliest cars on the road...Easily mistaken for a Ford Mondeo as well. Nope, just nope.

@Mr Tee, it is a 1969 Cadillac Sedan Deville with a 7.7 liter V8 engine, 279.5kW power and 712 Nm torque - bought it at an auction of some of the late Mr Louis Coetzer’s collection.

Mr Coetzer was one of the biggest car collectors in South Africa (his collection comprised of about 460 cars) of which the auction was of 139 cars.

The Cadillac does need a bit of work especially the body - not real rust but scratches; however, the drivetrain including engine is in good condition.

Thus far I replaced most of the service parts but am still waiting on some parts from the US of A as we do not have a huge selection of part providers for these vehicles in South Africa.

Together with a 1985 Opel Kadett GTE I have 2 projects on hand that will hopefully keep me out of mischief for the first part of 2021

@JoolsB - it is a 1969 Cadillac Sedan Deville - it does attract attention wherever one goes as they are quite rare in South Africa.

Interesting choice! I think if this had been my personal episode I would have gone for a 1970s Rolls Royce with magnolia hide and off-road tyres. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
