Maybe I don’t know how to drive.....

I [position my (large) foot on it’s heel near / in front/slightly right of the brake & twist on the ankle to put pressure on the accelerator.

I have pretty horrible pains in the sole/heels of my feet after driving (planter fasciitis)

Does anyone have a similar issue, or am I positioned incorrectly?

I doubt your foot position is the source of the pain. From experience the best way to rid yourself of PF is to roll and massage the underside of your foot (all the tendons and muscles) on a tennis ball several times a day until the pain ceases. Normally a few days if undertaken several time each day at first. Then repeat occasionally to avoid the return of PF. MY23 D350 HSE

that works to some degree and so does one of those massage guns on the sole of your foot, but after my last bout a month or so ago I've found the best way is to buy some orthotic insoles off of Amazon one for each pair of shoes you wear regularly.

I put some of these in my shoes after the last bout and it helped enormously. They don't give quite as much support as a custom insole pair out of my ski boots but are only £11 a pair as opposed to £50 so IMHO worth the money. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Also to add, I find Merrell footwear comfortable and their high instep helps reduce the likelihood of PF returning. There are other brands that offer similar high insteps.

Causes pain, so I didn’t use it , paid £75.00 X two sessions with a moonlighting nhs surgeon/doctor, who used a sonic vibrating gun - that created pain, but he explained the gun makes the body react and helps fix the issue. So I started to use the machine , it helps.

Another tip is to avoid walking on hard floors without shoes.

Mine most recent lot was caused by walking around a building site where we had some larger than usual Stone down so feet were rolling about while walking.

If you haven’t already got some, try the insoles. 👍🏻 I have them in my work boots and casual shoes, put them in while I was having pain, which I was hitting with foot rollers, massage guns, and gels, pain had gone in a week. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
