air bag bypass resistor info or wiring diagram needed | |

it appears very likely that I have stretched the ribbon inside the clockspring assembly and caused the heated steering wheel to no longer function and to give the two open circuit codes on the drives airbag.
now searching youtube some people on different cars have added a non standard steering wheel without an airbag and to clear the light from the dash have added a small resistor to the connector exiting the clockspring , or in some cases tracing the wire back to the upstream side of the clockspring and fitting a resistor there onto the supply wires.
Obviously with my thinking that the clockspring is stretched I'm going to need to do this or fork out for a new clockspring , so does anyone have any idea of what rating resistor would be needed and which wires pre clockspring would be the right ones to jumper out with the resistors?
it may be that I'm the guinea pig on this one , so if anyone has access to the drawings that show the wiring to the clockspring and steering wheel airbag that would help

ps the fix for the dreaded sttering column lock fail works well , but remeber about the clockspring in the wheel assembly (I obviously didn't) ![Embarassed Embarassed](images/smiles/icon_redface.gif)
