Emissions pipework 5.0 SC

Firstly; apologies if this post appears twice, I *thought* I posted earlier but it's not showing so don't know what happened there. I'll try again...

I've been working with Rob at Duckworths to identify a possibly-missing part on my 5.0 SC.

There is a pipe which comes up to the front of the nearside/LH cylinder head, part number 9K617A in this diagram:

At the end of the pipe is a plastic retainer and a barbed end, as if there should be another hose attached.

Then there is another barbed connector sticking out of the back of the big plastic airbox collector which sits above the rad, it's the section where the two air filters are connected to the sides, and then it feeds into the throttle body. The connector is where the left-hand red oval is in this picture (the right hand is the end of 9K617A as above). Sorry the photo isn't good:

The fact that the two ends/connectors are facing each other suggests there should be a piece of hose connecting the two together, but there's nothing there on mine. They definitely don't connect directly to each other, there would have to be something else there. Also they are different sizes so if it was a small section of hose (say 40-50mm) then it would need to be stepped.

Can anyone help identify this please? (Assuming it exists and should be there!). 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new....

I had a look at mine this morning, it's the same as yours, although nothing missing, just shrunk...

I made another thread to warn others...

Thanks Pete, that's a great post you've made there! Put my mind at rest, I'll do likewise and order some silicone hose to patch it with Thumbs Up 5.0 S/C Autobiography - now gone to pastures new....
