But, interestingly (he says politely), the (non LR affiliated) warranty company inspected it and concluded the failure was due to “wear and tear”. |

Has anyone got any idea of the reason for this crankcase failure. Is it effected by a certain year of production or certain engine numbers? I know it’s not only limited to the 3.0 because I’ve read the v8 diesels being effected. Also most I’ve seen have gone at low mileage. Mines coming up to 78k ( 3.0 ) I’m now myself! Although I love the car. I’m seriously thinking about moving it on.
