Rip your CDs to flac or high bit-rate mp3 is probably the easiest option and stick them on a USB drive? I presume it has a USB slot to either transfer or play direct. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Are you sure you haven't got a CD player in the glove box?

Back in the day I used to work for a HiFi company we used to listen for motor hum on competitors tape decks (yes I am going back a bit) we also listened to pops and crackles on record decks and hiss on tapes. CDs were just coming in and were pretty much vilified by the self appointed HiFi elite.

Yep I worked for Tandberg and I cant bring myself to sell imy TCD 3014A even though its gathering dust at the moment, sold my TD20ASE and always regretted it. Funny enough I drove past the shop where I always bought cassettes recently, it a hairdressers now, I always used TDK tape as well.

So when did CD players get removed then? Is this normal now?

Must of been part of the 18 model change that increased the size of the touchscreen.

I've got everything - pretty much - on a good old iPod. I've compared to streaming, but the difference is noticeable, not to mention needing a data connection and all that malarkey.

CD player became no cost option from MY18.5 when the new HVAC screen came in - it has to be specified as an order as it moves to the upper glovebox and reduces space. But as it defaults to not fitted, I suspect many cars from MY18.5 won't have it. It does get fitted automatically though if rear screens are ordered. Current Fleet:-
