So, my LV= policy last year was about £1700. My policy this year? Direct Line was £1425 with £1000 excess. BUT it's only £1100 with Santander branding via BISL, insurer is Ageas Insurance Limited) with £500 total excess, 7000 miles per annum, NCD protection and legal cover, parking on road, me 50, wife 36, full NCD, one recent non-fault claim for £4750. Plus I get 10% cash back from Santander, so really this is costing me less than £1000.

That's unsettling news - I've been with LV for the last 2 years for my FFRR, and they have consistently beaten any other renewal quote. Current Vogue SE 4.4 SDV8 Previous highlights Many Mini's! Really pleased with NFU. I’m just starting my fourth year with them now and they’ve not abused the situation at renewal once.

Always insured my Land Rover cars with NFU Mutual; good on price, not the cheapest but you deal with real people locally, not a pile it high sell it cheap call centre. When I’ve had to make a claim, they were quick and courteous. Downer is if you don’t live in a rural area, they may not cover you.
