I'd be very surprised if they've 'forgotten'

Sorry -I slightly misled you all - I have declared the accident on my renewal quotes with LV and Admiral. When I asked for a renewal from Admiral last year, just after the accident, they doubled my renewal cost to over £2000 for a 3 car policy, and LV gave me a quote of about the same as my previous premium. Now a year has passed and Admiral are quoting me at a level which negates any increase from the bump. However, I have also accrued another year's NCD which also reduces the cost. |

My BMW was insured with LV, but they were very expensive when I bought the RR back in May, so I cancelled. They were very good/prompt with the refund and proof of NCD. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Did you get some complementary Faraday pouches earlier this year from LV? |

The only thing I got from LV was grief. I unfortunately wrote off my D2 a few years ago and although there were several parts I wanted from it they sold it for scrap before I'd even had time to ask for a buy-back value.

I think I have posted this before, when I contacted LV recently they wouldn't insure my RR. Geoff |

I had the fatty with LV last year. They did offer me a renewal quote when it was due in early September, but at a big rise on last year. A few mins on the comparison sites had a renewal at a lower cost than last year so went with that (RAC I think). My experience is that many (all?) of the companies change their offering on a very regular basis and the only way to know if they are staying competitive is to do the tedious tout around each year. The whole market goes up and down, but the individual firm changes can be completely ridiculous. This year, of the four cars, two I renewed for lower premiums with the same companies that were already insuring them, and the other two I had to change, but again for a lower premium than last year. This came to the grand total of £785.73 for all four which was about £100 less than my 2019 renewal round. Mike - MPx
