I'm having a similar problem! Have you tried erasing faults from the steering angle sensor and abs modules then doing the steering wheel full lock left to right? |

Just changed sensor mechanism - cleared faults and we are good

Tough one I can’t remember if I couldn’t read the abs or not but the SAS fault is more and more common i on so probably 5 people in the last year or so who’ve had it where as I didn’t know anyone before I think their age is showing... Current stable:

Found water in the plug of the ABS pump under the bonnet. The plug has already taken one pin of the ABS unit so I'm looking at a new (used) ABS pump and a new plug.
