L405 Full size spare wheel removal

Morning Gents,
I'm new to this website so please be gentle with me if this subject has been sorted.
I own a 2014 L405 FFRR and it has the 20" full size spare wheel.
I understand that there are a couple of pieces of kit available for lifting this spare wheel in and out of the recess under the floor. One, I believe, hooks onto the lower tailgate section which then pulls the wheel up.
Can anybody advise me where I can get these kits, please. A part number would be brilliant.
Incidentally, is it the identical kit for both the L322 and the L405?
Thanks in advance.
Goddo

There are 2 different systems.

The L322 had straps under the wheel that you could arch to the lower tailgate.

The L405 has a kind of hoist that mounts on the upper tailgate opening - details here - https://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic31758.html

I bought one ages ago & am still get to use it - I've just got used to man handling the spare - I run winter tyres (incl spare), so swap mine every every 6 months.

I have the L405 one. I faffed around with it for a few minutes to try and use it and couldn't work it out Embarassed After which, I just pulled the spare out of the boot manually. Much quicker and not too difficult. Kev

I got all the straps tangled when I tried to use the dedicated L405 thingy then I had difficulty getting the whole thing free of the top mounting - joined the RAC! Geoff

I got the strap kit from Roger Young and it arrived this morning.
Yet to try it but I'm sure it can't be that difficult.
I just envisaged a puncture on a motorway, pitch dark and it's peeing down with rain.
The last thing I want to do is put my back out trying to get the spare out of the boot.

Now all you have to worry about is jacking the car up with the chocolate jack that RR provide. Then how to lift the spare onto the hub without a back injury Whistle

Yes, heard the jack isn't the best in the world. You also have to have six foot long arms to reach the jack in the boot, even with the lower tailgate raised, it's a bit of a fight. Razz Razz

No way to get the jack without climbing in the boot IMHO - I doubt you'll get to it with the lower tailgate raised.

Fortunately I've not had to do a roadside swap - only at home with a trolley jack

[Edit] You can just about reach the jack with the tailgate closed - but the tailgate had better be clean - I tried it today whilst fitting my winter wheels Thumbs Up
