There's an informative article here https://www.tirereview.com/changing-tpms-sensor-batteries/ and there are even some "How-to's" on YoofTube if you're feeling really brave!

Disabling TPMS is always a good choice, assuming your car’s old enough and doesn’t require them by law. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

You'd think with all that being thrown around, they'd be able to be charged with a mechanism like a watch has.

There is a system under development from an Indian firm to make them self charge but there also systems that work by using the ABS sensors and so have nothing inside the wheel and therefore no batteries 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone

Interesting, looks like they're probably 433mhz, I can probably pick up the sensors on my Home Automation system and give me an alert if they're below a certain threshold ![]() (Something else to mess around with! Not this weekend though as I'm fitting the Naviplus and the dash is in pieces) |

one of the issues with tpms is the sensors themselves corrode away and can burst leaving you stranded.
