United States 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zambezi Silver

Hi I just a supercharged '06 on it's bump stops with a damaged bummer. I figured I could fix it up and use it for some overlanding in the deserts of Utah. I'm sure I'll be needing lots of help from this forum, it looks like a great resource! Wish me luck on this adventure!!

Welcome - new member

Hi all!

I bought my Range Rover last December after many years of Discovery ownership. Just got round to joining this group so apologies for the delay. It’s been a strange year!

Look forward to meeting you all

Spain 2008 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

Hi Everybody,
Always fancied a Range Rover so bought a 2008 Vogue SE TDV8 about 6 weeks ago with full main dealer service history and 68000 miles on the clock. Set off for Spain with the caravan on the back and halfway down through Spain we had ‘Engine System Fault’. Took it into one garage who said it was r/hand turbo actuator stuck and after 4 days said they had to take the body off and turbo out!!! I got the car back! So onward and upward, I’ll keep you posted on progress.

And another new joiner. Brave (or silly enough) to buy an older RR (2004 V8 Petrol).

Hello all,

Current v10 Touareg driver thought i didn't have enough problems i purchased myself a 09 RR vogue tdv8 3.6 with a blown engine.
I have my mechanic giving me his assessment tomorrow and then i probably need to buy a refurbed engine and probably a couple of turbos. So any advice of a supplier is grateful. The car is currently in Spain in Andalucía so i will need to ship it from somewhere else too as i cant find any local suppliers.
I have seen the car for about 5 mins in the back of a dark garage and attached a pic of one and only viewing.

Thanks for having me,

Mad Manc

Hi All - new member here. I've been lurking here for a while, researching the potential pitfalls of an L322. Joined now as I'm getting towards the end of the research phase, and moving into the purchase phase (it takes me a long time to come to a decision, so I'm hoping to keep it for a while).

Welcome to all new members.

As a newcomer to rhe site myself I feel I can say with a high degree of accuracy that it's definitely tbe best around for information, help and spares for your Range Rover.

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Galway Green

Hi ffrr forum,
After a year looking at the wealth of knowledge and experience here, I thought it is time to introduce myself. For years I have had an itch for a Range Rover and despite in the 1980s driving and writing about scores of cars for newspaper motoring columns I never got my feet under the table at the Land Rover Press Office or a seat in a Range Rover.

My first taste of a Rangie was in a friend’s bought new, early L322. I was impressed but it was just too big, expensive, thirsty and, my friend admitted, prone to break down (he is now looking at L405!). I had a string of unremarkable company cars and unremarkable own cars. My current Freelander 2 bought for practical reasons, trailer towing, commuting, reasonable economy and reliability - and if you squint it could be mistaken for a diddy Range Rover and, yes I know it isn’t a Range Rover but surely it has some of its DNA!

Last year the itch saw me look at the RR Sport. Nice but no wafting drive I expected, even with the same ten letters on the bonnet. Then I drove a nicely looked after 2007 3.6 Vogue and was hooked on the full fat real Range Rover thing. Now, at the age of 62 and following a serious illness, that Range Rover itch has to be scratched! I am looking at TDV8 3.6 Vogues 2008 upwards hoping for lots of history, invoices and receipts? I have an £8-14k total budget, wanting to spend less on the car leaving more for the inevitable stuff. I have not driven a 4.4 because of the price difference and I don’t do a lot of miles, and another friend warned that once driven the 4.4 itch starts!!!
Thank you, Thumbs Up
Ron
PS – Can newbies place a Wanted ad without the (understandable) Posting condition, and if not how much is an ad please and how do you do it?
