Second battery

Hello, new here and first post.
Can I ask, my 2006 has a second battery in the rear off-side cubby box. Looks like a pro job and not a DIY thing. Has anyone else got this.

Thanks for that, good to know mine is not on its own. I presume it is for the entertainment side of things. Would I be right in saying, if I remove the main battery I will not lose the codes Question

I can only speak for my 2004 but when changing the battery no codes etc lost at all. I presume it is the same for all years as I've never seen a post regarding a problem. Thumbs Up

Re: Second battery

I would suggest it's "electrically unlikely" that removing the second battery would cause you to need to re-enter any codes, my logic being that the cars electrical systems are 12 volts and hence, the batteries must be wired in parallel.

Hence, removing one should leave the other one in situ and cause no issues! Smile

Having just moved up from the P38 I thought the code thing would be the same. Good to know it's not but I do have the "check coolant" message on the screen.
One way to rid a RR from the code system...
